What’s up gnomies? I am so excited about this card that I am going to spare you the puns and get right to it. This project is part of a Brutus Monroe and Bearly Art collaboration. Having so many fabulous products to work with, made this a very fun, exciting project to work on.

I started with the “Gnome Pun Intended” stamp set from Brutus Monroe. The coordinating dies are available for this set, which makes it so much easier to cut several layers. I was able to easily build up each of these bearded cuties so they had some dimension. I colored them with Copics. I tried something a little different with their beards. Instead of the usual grey, I wanted a blue/purple tone to compliment the iridescence of the Fabulous Fibers I used to give them actual beards. For the gnome on top I used V22, V20 and BV31 for his beard. On the bottom gnome, I used BV23, BV01 and BV31.

I stamped an additional of each gnome and colored their noses so that I could cut them out and cover the spot where I glued the Fabulous Fibers, also giving these some dimension. Working with Fabulous Fibers is so much fun. There are so many cool things you can do with them. Check out this post for another project I used them on. They are very easy to manipulate and react well to a tiny bit of heat. I used the heat gun for barely a few seconds to hold the strands together and to secure the ends of the braids. I made the pink bands by tapping a Copic onto the melted section of the fibers. Then they were secured behind the noses with the Bearly Art Glue, which worked perfectly.

The Slim Line Sentiment dies made it easy to cut the background layers. They come with various sizes for layers as well as perfectly sized sentiments. For the background papers, I used a few patterns from “Crafting With My Gnomies” by Photoplay. The turquoise dots are “Scrappers” and the hearts are “Sew Sweet.”

For the glitter hearts, I used a heart stencil with Raven Glitter Glaze, then cut out the hearts. The sentiment is from the “Gnome Pun Intended” stamp set embossed in Alabaster Embossing Powder.

To add some finishing touches, I used Bearly Art Washi tape on black cardstock and punch out hearts with a thumb punch. I really enjoyed creating this card and using so many different products. To check out all these goodies and so many more awesome products, make sure to head over to Brutus Monroe.
